The arrival of our first child! That's right, I'm pregnant!
Brian and I are thrilled at the prospect of being parents. Our bundle of joy is scheduled to arrive on my birthday, March 9, 2010! I'm already 12 weeks along, and it's hard to believe that the first trimester is almost over. Here is a picture of our last ultrasound taken just yesterday:
We do plan on finding out the gender. In fact, during the ultrasound yesterday the technician/nurse was pretty sure she could tell already! I'm not sure yet if I'm going to post it on the blog since we really won't know the gender for sure until my next ultrasound, which is 8 weeks away. However, if I can't control my excitement, I might just have to spill the beans :)
I've been feeling pretty good so far. The hormones do have their side effects though. I've been emotional, sometimes crying for no apparent reason other than just because I feel like I need to cry. I also had a couple weeks of nausea, and still have to eat often in order to keep from feeling sick. The only other unpleasantries are the breakouts. All of this is well worth it though! I'm not complaining!
So . . . on a different note . . . many of you, my faithful blog readers, have been pregnant before, and I am open to your advice, tips, and recommended products. In fact, I'm inviting them. Along with any hand-me-downs you may be willing to loan out. My good friend Shannon has already informed me of the best stretch mark prevention cream and sent me some in the mail! It's by Mama Mio and I can already tell I'm going to love it!

SO amazing Lindsay!! Congrats again and again and again! I can't wait to see you and your cute prego belly in a few months! I can't believe how well defined the baby is already! Thats just crazy!! We are so excited for you guys!
Congrats to you both! I am so excited for you... if your family is anything like mine, I'm guessing it's a boy :)! Tell Brian hi and can't wait to "meet" your little angel soon!
OK, Rachel needs a playmate, I hope it's a girl we need to even up the numbers in Sunday School. :)Congratulations, you guys are going to be GREAT parents!
Hi Lindsay! That is just the most perfect little ultrasound picture! What a beauty...already! I'm dying to know what they told you they 'think' the sex is! I guess if they're saying the can already tell, it's a boy, but I'll try and patiently wait for you to spill the beans! I know you both are so excited! You'll be such wonderful parents. I don't really have any good tips...wish I knew about that stretch mark cream the second go-round! Oh well! Of course, you already know my big tip, which is to without a doubt, get the epidural...experienced natural - not by choice - and it's not fun! You will earn no metal for going natural, so drug yourself...much more enjoyable for everyone involved! (even the baby...as you know, mine are just fine and were not sleepy or any of that other crap you'll read - both were alert and ate the first time they tried after delivery) I'll try and think of more prodcuts for you though. Must get Jenny McCarthy's book on pregnancy - pretty funny.
Love you guys! Congrats again!
